We manufacture and distribute high quality Coffee beans, primarily to restaurants, coffeehouses, retail stores and larger wholesale customers. Our roasting is done in our premises following a carefully monitored process and techniques to bring out the flavor and aroma of gourmet Coffee. At the same time, Keusen also seeks to provide roasteries with high quality green beans and cultivate a better world with respect for farmers and the environment.

The Coffee Beans

Protected by a canopy of shade, the farm smells sweet with the flowering coffee plants. Beneath each bloom a coffee cherry slowly develops over 8 months, enhancing its flavor. Harvested by hand, only ripe cherries are collected. After wet milling them, pulp and skin are removed. The seeds undergo a fermenting period. After which they are fully washed, the beans are then dried in the sun to a humidity content of 10 to 11.5 %. Once dried, the green beans are classified to a 5 or less defect specification with no primary defects per 300 grams and exported directly to our facilities in Louisiana, where they are stored in a controlled environment in special bags to preserve quality and freshness. .
